mgPass is the single sign-on identity system for Media General’s digital products: one account works across adesa+, mgTix and mgRewards.

It first went live in 2024 on a hosted identity provider. In 2026 we rebuilt it as a fully custom system on Cloudflare, on Workers, D1, KV and Durable Objects, after the Perfect Match Xtra Season 4 launch exposed the limits of the original setup.

Day to day it handles sign-up, login and sessions for every user on those products. Its authentication logs are the evidence we reach for when a payment dispute comes in.
